In our film we are going to rely mainly on natural lighting. This means we are going to have to rely heavily on filming outdoors and in well lighted rooms - big windows. This shouldn't be too difficult especially considering many of our scenes are set outdoors or are from the past - this should be easy enough to do with the use of editing. The only problem is that our filming might be set back if it isn't a good day outside, we will not be able too or will find great difficult in maintaining this natural light and therefore the reality of the scene. Other methods of lighting will include backlighting and coloured lighting.
An area when we will have to pay specific attention to lighting is when we are filming the man sitting in the room. WE want to give the aura of a cell, therefore we are going to use a spare room in my house - the room is completely plain with only a bed and we can customise this is to make it as cold and unwelcoming as possible. There is however a problem when it comes to restricting the natural light here, as there is a big window. We therefore might need to look at covering this partially to restrict the light in this room. I will have to look into this further.
